It’s already official mobile that comes to replace last year’s great POCO bestseller. The new POCO X4 Pro 5G is a realityand it arrives with the aim of improving everything that made the POCO X3 Pro become one of the greatest successes in the history of the young company.
The POCO X4 Pro 5G lands with great advances in the photographic section, a better screen than the previous model and other interesting changes, which we will review in depth below.

Updated design and the first OLED display in the POCO X family
If the technical sheet of the POCO X4 Pro 5G looks familiar to you, it is completely normal: POCO’s new mobile is basically a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro with a slightly different look, and software customized by POCO. In everything else, that’s just a carbon copy.
Xiaomi has decided to give it a turn to the aesthetic section of the new member of its X family. The device arrives built in glass on its back, and completely flat side edges, in the style of much more expensive models, such as the iPhone 13. This year, the device is available in colors black, blue and, of course, the mythical POCO yellow.
The new camera system It is the great protagonist of the back, arranged in a vertical format inside a “window” where the POCO serigraphy and some of the details of its photographic system also appear.
It has water and dust resistance under an IP53 certification level, and also integrates USB Type C, 3.5-millimeter headphone port4, and infrared sensor.
Its front part is occupied by the first AMOLED screen seen so far in an X-series terminal. It is a 6.67-inch panel with Full HD+ resolution120 hertz refresh rate and 360 hertz touch sampling rate.
The screen is capable of achieve a peak brightness of 1200 nits, and also covers the DCI-P3 color space. It also supports “Sunlight Mode” and Reading Mode 3.0. Protecting it is in charge of a glass panel Gorilla Glass 5.

Mid-range Qualcomm brain with 5G
The fact of equipping a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor It was one of the distinguishing features of the previous POCO X3 Pro. After all, very few devices of its price had a chip with high-end specifications.
This year, Xiaomi has decided to bet on a chip focused on the mid-range, the Snapdragon 695. It is a processor octa-core manufactured in six-nanometer processassociated with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage, expandable by microSD up to 1 TB.
All of this is backed by a large 5000 mAh battery with 67 W fast charge. The charger, by the way, is included in the box with the device.
MIUI 13 It is the version of the operating system that runs inside the POCO X4 Pro, with some modifications carried out by POCO to offer an experience according to what is expected of the brand.
The 108-megapixel camera reaches the LITTLE
The camera system of the POCO X4 Pro has greatly evolved compared to the previous installment. This year, we have a 108 megapixel resolution main camera with f/1.9 aperture and 1/1.52″ size.
The secondary camera has 8 megapixel resolution with f/2.2 apertureand is associated with a ultra wide angle lens that allows capturing images with a field of view of 118º.
Finally, there is a 2 megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture.
On the front, located in a hole centered at the top of the screen, it is possible to find a 16 megapixel resolution camera with f/2.4 aperture.
POCO X4 Pro 5G price and when it can be purchased
In Spain, the POCO X4 Pro 5G can be purchased from March 7, 2022 through the usual distributors.
It will be available in two different settings, both with 6 GB of RAM. The price will be different for each of them:
- Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro 5G 6/128GB: 299 euros
- Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro 5G 6/256GB: 349 euros
As usual, Xiaomi will offer a launch Promotion, by which it will be possible to get hold of the device at a lowest price than normal. The 128 GB storage model can be purchased for 269 euros for a limited time, while the version with 256GB will be available at a price of 319 euros.
