Previously, the Genshin Impact version 2.7 update was scheduled to launch on May 10, 2022. But recently, the developer posted information regarding the update.

The developer didn’t mention the specific reason why the launch was delayed updates Genshin Impact version 2.7.
However, a Hoyoverse representative told Polygon the delay was due to problems with the development of the project.
“We will provide relevant information to Travelers as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused,” said a Hoyoverse spokesperson, as quoted from polygonMonday (2/5/2022).
Many believe that the delay in updating version 2.7 was due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in China, especially in Shanghai, where the Hoyoverse office is located.
Due to this, the Chinese government has again implemented a strict lockdown in several cities since early April 2022.
Information, Genshin Impact content is usually rolled out according to a previously announced schedule.
In general, this game gets updates weekly and contains two tri-weekly banners in each update.
There has been no official announcement for the characters in the banner or the next new content that will appear in Genshin Impact 2.7 updates. However, it looks like Hoyoverse will be introducing Yelan, a new character with a five-star water arc in the update.
