MIUI 13 will arrive very soon along with the new Xiaomi 12, and from China they are already beginning to warn us of which phones they will update and which they will not according to leaks.
Xiaomi has been testing MIUI 13 internally since the beginning of this month of December, and although the new version of the most famous custom firmware on the Android platform It has not yet been officially presented, we already know its main novelties and also the outline of Xiaomi’s update calendar, which anticipates almost 120 mobiles willing to update to the latest flavor of MIUI.
Now thanks to ItHome and our colleagues from Xataka Android, we also know the first phones that will remain, hypothetically, anchored in MIUI 12.5 and without the possibility of updating to MIUI 13 in any way, neither with the base of Android 11 nor with the new version of Android 12.
As you will expect, these are older devices that will be discontinued when losing their update support, in this case 13 Xiaomi and Redmi models that have been revealed in a list that apparently is not official but unofficial, and that has been leaked in China in recent days.
There are not too many surprises, although Xiaomi certainly intends to leave now. without major updates from MIUI to its high-end early 2019 the Mi 9, the presence of the Mi MIX 3 5G being more striking, which was the first Xiaomi with new generation networks and great banner of innovation from the house of Haidian also in 2019.
Be that as it may, and without further ado, here we leave you all Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones that would hypothetically run out of MIUI 13according to the leaks:
- Xiaomi Mix 3 5G
- Xiaomi Mix 2S
- Xiaomi Mi 9
- Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite
- Xiaomi Mi 9SE
- Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 9T
- Xiaomi Mi 8
- Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Redmi Note 8T
- Redmi Note 8
- Redmi 8
- Redmi Note 7
To this list we would have to add all the smartphones of previous generations, obviously, so we already know that Xiaomi is setting the bar in the two major MIUI updatesand therefore in the two years of active support with software improvements and not just security patches.
Let’s take the information with caution, because it is not official and has not been confirmed by the Chinese manufacturer itselfwhich must endorse it in the coming weeks when the Xiaomi 12 accompanied by MIUI 13 are presented.
We are impatient, no doubt! You dont?
