An “anti-fraud” protection system developed together with the Chinese Government
As specified in Gizmochinathe new function of MIUI 13 is aimed at prevent users from receiving calls from spam or they may be scammed.
To do this, it has collaborated with the Chinese government agency to fight online fraud, to make available to MIUI 13 a database that stores information and phone numbers from known scammers in the country.
Thus, when receiving a call from a telephone number included in said database, the device will alert the user indicating possible danger, and encouraging you to reject the call or ignore the incoming text message.
Since this is a measure developed in collaboration with the Government of China, it is very likely that this function will be exclusive to the Chinese version of MIUI. For users of the global version, there is always the option to use the spam filter and the caller ID included in the Google phone app.
