Microsoft to Launch Xbox TV Streaming Device in 2023

Almost a year and a half ago, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer once revealed that it was possible to do game streaming Xbox to TV users in the next 12 months. The same was said again in June 2021, when Microsoft confirmed it would offer Smart TV apps and sticks stream Xbox in the same timeframe.

In a new report from VenTour BeatMicrosoft plans to release the Xbox cloud-gaming streaming device which will be released in the next 12 months. GSM Arena reports, this is based on the instructions of a person familiar with the plan.

If any delayed, it will likely be due to supply chain constraints caused by major disruptions in Ukraine due to the invasion. Plus China is still in lockdown.

It is thought that such a device will resemble the Amazon Fire TV Stick or a chip form factor like the Roku. The device allows users to do stream from the movie and TV apps, but also allows access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

It’s also been reported that Microsoft and Samsung are teaming up to develop the streaming app, so Samsung Smart TV owners don’t even have to buy a dedicated device for this purpose.
